Ingredients:

  • 8 oz hot water
  • 1 green tea bag
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon honey

Lemon, Ginger & Turmeric Detox Tea Recipe

Why we love it: removing toxins, increasing antioxidants, enhancing digestion and boosting immunity.

Concentrated tea Ingredients:

  • 6 c water
  • 1 chunk fresh ginger {approximately 5-6" in length}
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 6 fresh lemons

Instructions:

  1. peel the ginger and dice into thin slices.
  2. Add the ginger and 6 cups of water in a large pot over high heat.
  3. Bring to a boil, then turn to low heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. Add the cinnamon sticks, turmeric and cayenne and simmer on low heat for another 10 minutes; stirring occasionally.
  5. Let it cool and strain.
  6. Store in a glass container in the fridge.

Tip:

Every morning and throughout the day, mix º cup of this concentrated tea plus ½squeezed fresh lemon juice with 6 oz hot water.

Turmeric Detox Tea Recipe

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup turmeric powder
  • 1 cup to 1 ½ cup hot water
  • 1.5 tsp ground black pepper
  • 5 tbsp coconut oil

Instructions:

  1. Mix water 1 cup hot water with turmeric powder in a pan and slowly heat it up and stir for 6-10 minutes until you get a thick paste (add the additional ½ cup water if it is too thick).
  2. Add black pepper and coconut oil and continue stirring until all the ingredients are fully mixed in together.
  3. Allow the paste to cool. Store in the refrigerator in a jar for up to 1-2 weeks.
