Summer DIY At-Home Rituals
Summer changes what your skin and body need.
Your feet are exposed more often. Sunscreen builds up faster. Heat and sweat can leave your skin looking dull, and dry areas can feel more noticeable.
That is where an at-home ritual makes sense.
Not a rushed routine. Not another task. Just time to soften dry skin, refresh your complexion, and feel polished without booking a spa appointment.
This summer, we’re focusing on two Pure Fiji rituals:
- A sandal-ready pedicure
- A brightening Vitamin C facial
Both are easy to do at home and still feel special enough to slow down for.
DIY Summer Pedicure Ritual
There is something about summer that makes your feet impossible to ignore.
You do not need a spa appointment to make them look soft, smooth, and polished. You just need a little time, good lighting, and Pure Fiji body care essentials that make the process feel more luxurious.
Before you begin, set the mood:
- Choose a comfortable, well-lit spot
- Light a candle nearby for scent
- Play soft music
- Pour cucumber, mint, or lemon-infused water
- Keep a plush towel within reach
These small details turn a regular pedicure into a summer ritual.
Step 1: Remove Old Polish, Soak, and Soften
- Remove old polish with a cotton ball and polish remover.
- Fill a foot basin or shallow tub with warm water.
- Add Pure Fiji Coconut Milk Bath Soak for 10 to 15 minutes for a creamy, tropical soak.
- Keep the basin nearby. You will use it again when buffing.
Step 2: Buff and Exfoliate
- Take one foot out of the soak and leave it slightly damp, not dripping wet or completely dry.
- Use a foot file or pumice stone on heels, balls of the feet, and rough patches.
- File gently. The light moisture helps reduce friction and heat buildup.
- Rinse the file in the basin as you go.
- Massage Pure Fiji Coconut Sugar Scrub over your feet and up the calves.
- Use slow circular motions around heels, ankles, soles, and calves.
- Rinse in fresh water and dry.
The sugar crystals polish dry surface skin, while nourishing oils leave feet feeling soft and smooth.
Step 3: Trim, Shape, and Care for Cuticles
- Trim toenails straight across to help prevent ingrown nails.
- File the edges smooth.
- Apply Pure Fiji Nourishing Exotic Coconut Oil then gently push back cuticles with an orange stick or cuticle pusher.
Step 4: Massage With Rich Moisture
- Massage Pure Fiji Body Butter into feet and calves, focusing on dry heels, ankles, soles, and arches.
- Use slow, firm pressure so the step feels relaxing, not rushed.
Optional spa-like experience:
- Dampen a clean hand towel and wring it out so it is moist, not dripping.
- Warm it in the microwave for 30 to 45 seconds, or use a towel fresh from the dryer.
- Test it on your wrist first to make sure it is warm, not hot.
- Wrap it around your feet for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Use the towel to gently wipe away any excess butter before polishing.
This turns the moisturizing step into a more indulgent treatment while helping feet feel soft, smooth, and comfortable.
Step 5: Prep and Polish
- Wipe each toenail with polish remover to clear away leftover body butter or cuticle oil.
- Apply a clear base coat.
- Apply two thin coats of your favorite summer polish.
- Finish with a clear top coat.
- Let each layer dry before applying the next.
Keep open-toe slippers or sandals nearby so you do not smudge your polish.
Brightening Vitamin C Facial Ritual
Summer skin goes through a lot.
Heat, sweat, sunscreen, travel, and long days outdoors can leave your complexion looking dull or uneven. The goal is to cleanse well, refresh the skin, add targeted Vitamin C care, and keep your barrier comfortable.
This Pure Fiji facial is perfect when your skin needs to look fresh again without feeling stripped.
Step 1: Cleanse
- Start with dry skin.
- Massage Pure Fiji Vitamin C Foaming Oil Cleanser over your face to dissolve sunscreen, makeup, sweat, and daily buildup.
- Add warm water to create a soft lather.
- Rinse and pat dry.
Use it morning or night. In the morning, it clears away overnight oil and sweat. At night, it helps remove summer sunscreen and makeup.
Step 2: Masque
- Apply Pure Fiji Pure Vitamin C Masque to clean skin.
- Leave it on as directed.
- Rinse and pat dry.
Use this step at night, 1 to 2 times a week. The mask helps lift dullness and smooth the look of tired summer skin.
Step 3: Mist
- Mist Pure Fiji Vitamin C Brightening Toning Mist over clean skin.
- Let it settle before applying your next product.
- Keep it in the fridge during summer for a cooling touch.
This step helps skin feel fresh and ready for the rest of your facial.
Step 4: Serum
- Apply 2-3 drops of Pure Fiji Kakadu Super Vitamin C Brightening Serum with Hyaluronate + Bakuchiol on the face and neck.
- Apply all over, being mindful to avoid the immediate eye area.
Step 5: Eye Treatment
- Tap Pure Fiji Kakadu Super Vitamin C Brightening Eye Crème around the orbital bone.
- Use your ring finger and keep the pressure light.
- Avoid pulling or rubbing the eye area.
This step helps the eye area look smoother, brighter, and more refreshed.
Step 6: Moisturize
- Smooth Pure Fiji Vitamin C Brightening Crème over your face and neck.
- Use gentle upward motions.
- Let it absorb before applying sunscreen in the morning or oil at night.
This crème helps soften, hydrate, and brighten the look of uneven summer skin.
Step 7: Seal
- Warm 2 to 3 drops of Pure Fiji Kakadu Super Vitamin C Brightening Oil between your palms.
- Press it gently over your moisturizer.
- Use it as your final nighttime step.
In summer, this step is best saved for evening so it does not feel too heavy during the day.
For Daytime Finish: Always Apply SPF
If you do this facial in the morning, finish with sunscreen.
- Wait about a minute after moisturizing.
- Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher to your face, neck, and ears.
- Choose a lightweight texture for hot summer days.
Vitamin C and sunscreen work well together. Vitamin C supports brighter-looking skin, while SPF helps protect your results.
Note: When trying any new skincare product, a small test patch is recommended.
Summary
A polished pedicure and a brightening Vitamin C facial are two summer rituals that make your at-home routine feel more intentional.
The pedicure softens, smooths, and finishes your feet for sandal season. The facial helps cleanse away summer buildup, refresh dull-looking skin, and support a brighter, more even-looking complexion.
Together, they create a Pure Fiji summer ritual that feels relaxed, luxurious, and worth slowing down for.
